Introduction:

When I first had the idea to make a story about depression and sat down with my good friend Gunther Tyriard we came up with "INSIDE - Don't Look Down," The story's exploration of identity, memory, and existential questioning resonated deeply with us, and we felt compelled to bring our story to life. Originally we planned to shoot in Belgium but because of the high cost i told Gunther fuck it for that amount of money we can shoot in Iceland, we looked at eachother and said fuck it lets do this.

Character Preparation:

Approaching the character of Alex was a journey of introspection and exploration. We wanted to capture the complexity of his emotional and psychological journey, portraying him as a man grappling with profound confusion and a desperate search for truth amidst uncertainty. The evolving nature of Alex's character presented a challenge, but also an opportunity to delve into the depths of human experience and vulnerability.

Atmospheric Setting:

The atmospheric landscapes described in the script served as both a backdrop and a character in their own right. Filming in such unique and immersive environments allowed us to amplify the emotional and sensory experience of the story.
